Piping: Scot Walker

Scot was rated #1 Overall Professional Piping Competitor for 7 years by the Eastern US Pipe Band Association. He has won firsts prizes at nearly all the major North American Solo Championships, and numerous prizes as a solo competitor in Scotland. After serving as Pipe Major of the Lehigh Valley Pipe Band for 20 years, he played with Lomond and Clyde Pipe Band in Glasgow, Scotland until 2016. He is currently a piper of City of Dunedin Pipe Band, based in Dunedin, FL. Scot's band accomplishments include the Scottish Championship, World Pipe Band Championship and multiple North American and EUSPBA Championships. Scot served on the Music Faculty of Moravian College as Instructor of Bagpipe Music from 1993 to 2013, and holds a Masters of Education. He has taught bands and solo players for over 40 years, including leading workshops and instructing at various piping schools. He is a member of the EUSPBA judges' panel, and currently serves as a member of the EUSPBA music board (including the organization and oversight of all judges’ training and examinations).
